Ease of use, diversity of products and rapid development options.
A few limiting factors in the form application around managing multiple data sources. Lack of parity between on prem and cloud solutions means migration is not possible and existing solutions need to be redeveloped.
BPA throughout the organisation. CRM management, audit, marketing, HR processes etc.
Promapp drives you to define your processes in a simplified form that makes them easy and engaging to read.
Promapp can sometimes be slow to move between groups
We are requirewd to have all of our processes defined and easily accessible by our employees as part of our ongoing certification.
Easy to learn and use, also graphical elements are generated by Promapp tool automatically.
Decisions (yes/no) difficult to portray - use of notes & 80/20 rule not always useful to process users, but understand concept of eliminating yes/no to reduce clutter.
Gives us ability to map all our processes and take an holistic view of the business.
its very simple and straight forward - you wont use it for modelling but you will use it for everything else
it cant be customised, being in the cloud it is what it is
we have mapped all of our business processes across five countries
It is pretty easy to build some simple workflows and get things like approvals working fast
It can be very complicated to create items that are not a simple 2-3 step process. There is not way to easily look at variables across workflows and make mass-changes like you can in code. There is very little help available for end-users so if you are not already familiar with writing code it is easy to drag-n-drop and then create a total mess.
We are using Nintex for approvals mostly. We have digitized several of our older paper based approval processes and formalized a few other processes to use Nintex that previously were just being done with e-mail and phone calls.
Simplicity and ease of use make it usable by power users and ITl users with limited technical skills
nothing really. It does what it says on the tin as far as I'm concerned
Process automation. Process time reduction and quality improvements.
It has a nice user interface for development
the backemd still has some bugs to work out but they are just a few isolated scenarios where I had problems with the backend not functioning the way I would expect
project workflows and statuses
The simplicity in the documentation of processes and the easy in which users are able to follow the process and get all the supporting information in relation to the process to ensure constancy and adoption.
The dashboard telling me all the items I have to complete.
For us it was to firstly have a central repository for capturing and storing processes and process information. We have been able to achieve standardisation across multi site locations and provide an improved consistent customer experience.
Freedom for the users and abilty for them to engage with feedback
Sometimes Hard to navigate when getting used to structure
Standardisation
Easy to document process and to store links to related materiel e.g. Forms, policies etc
The guidelines for writing policies are clear, but you need to check that policy writers are writing policies following the guidelines
We have found it more difficult to map our core processes, but have found it very useful to make our supporting processes easy to follow
Easy to use - helps to include all stakeholders involved and document their involvement - can attach associated forms and documents - includes active and passive times,
There is nothing I dislike about Promapp
Promapp is a really useful tool that helps you to document current processes and practices and identify opportunities for improvement.
Central repository, remotely accessible no matter where you are; easily updated for currency; updates tracked. Great for processes, policies and keeping key risks, mitigation strategies and controls on the radar. Updated documents are seamless substituted, attaching to relevant processes.
Most issues raised have been responded to promptly
Staff have assess to current policies and processes; able to suggest improvements, which are directly instantly to the relevant people; facility for monitoring key risk areas. New employee inductions are simple - process is clearly mapped and key documentation attached.
it is very easy to use, we are using it as a transition tool and it has been a fantastic tool for us. I like that files can be attached or linked to a process and the swim lanes make it very clear who is responsible for tasks in a process.
I would like to see a little more reporting options
We are using as a transition tool for our business- If has been very helpful in capturing Knowledge and passing on to the incumbent in the role
How easy it is to crest diagrams and add metadata to each activity
Navigation of all of the folders. But I think it is the way our folder structure is set up versus the application.
Optimizing financial processes. The ability to reuse processes instead of starting from scratch.
Intuitive interface that is easy to pick up and use, making it ideal for involving the entire business as minimal training is required
Some aspects of the interface are harder to customise for specific implementations, e.g. modifying the help hover text
A lack of process documentation, which has been improved by providing an easy to use platform for mapping.
Ease of use for non IT users. Easy access to process automation
Lack of features compared to on premise like no scheduling workflows
A wide range from document management to reporting
1.SharePoint 2013 workflows made some big improvements through Nintex. 2.Nintex is great functionality of exportation and importation. 3.Less cost/Free trail also available. 4.Nintex allows for process design directly in SharePoint.
1. One of the largest drawbacks is it's workflow logging. 2.Another limitation is how slow some default actions can take. 3.Not user-friendly
1. User friendly 2. Proper documentation. 3.Proper error loggings.
The idea that the actions are more "visual", it helps users with less knowledge of workflow to get a grip of the idea. The fact also that it goes beyond some basic functionalities as compared to sharepoint designer
The way the loops are made. from a programming perspective it tends to confuse me a bit. Using two foreach loops one inside another can be quite a process for a simple workflow. And also a built in info referene guide could be a bit more useful for each action available.
Content and Document management as well as acceptance reviews. Permission allowance based on actions or criteria's
I LOVE the copy and paste feature. I also love the disable feature. This makes creating production workflows easy to create and modify.
Unfortunately I've had issues with using my own custom web services with Nintex. I also dislike how I've created workflows that use tons of columns and it will fail due to a data type issue, but its hard to pinpoint the column.
We use Nintex to create production workflows and even use it internally for our support system. We love that anyone in our company that needs to look at the workflow can understand it - you don't have to be a developer and read lines of code.
It is simple to use and quite intuitive even if you do not have a developer background. There is a lot of information and tips available online when you wish to expand your knowledge or encounter an issue. I like the ability to see where the workflow failed and how you can work out where you have made a mistake.
Being a new user of the Nintex workflow there is not really anything that I dislike yet.
I implement simple business solutions to support idea management or requirement management, ensuring better governance
