Limited tracking capabilities :) .
1. PC client needs better grid layout (wide TO-DO column) 2. Activity indicator in PC client. Currently, to get my activity, I need to: flush Hubstaff data by stopping and starting it; refresh statistics page
Work time tracking on site page (with filters)
Project time monitoring and recording in detail.
Billing clarity. Multiple emails and repetitive emails
Employee work effort and contribution to each project.
that I can see my PTO right there and don't need human resources to get the info
that it takes screenshots and I can't edit the time manually
my worked time is tracked for the company I work for
I really like the capabilities of the platform to allow to have a descentralized team of freelancers or even our ordinary team members doing home office. Time tracking and payment reports are great. When I had to request customer service it was efficient and prompt.
Activity reports are not very easy to understand. Pricing seems fair for a company that gets paid in US Dollars but for a latinamerican company such as mine the monthly cost is very significant (for you to know, right now we pay hubstaff approximately the 10% of what our employees earn and also the 10% of our office rent monthly cost). We are still happy to pay hubstaff for the value that it provides but if we keep growing our team a point will be reached in which we will begin to look for options that are less costly.
Having people working on homeoffice or as freelancers is difficult to measure without a tool like hubstaff. I have recieved feedback from my employees that use Hubstaff that it is "fair and just" so I dont have to have this conversation with them about how many hours are they going to work or if I perceive that they didnt worked as much as I thought they would. Hubstaff allows me to forget that part of managing our team.
the ease of use and set up. It is great for our company.
I don't have anything specific to report that we dislike at this time.
We have a remote employee that will be on leave for a short time but working from home. It has allowed us to manage the time and tasks better.
I love that I am able to see screenshots of my employee's computer. My employee works in a different country so it is very helpful to see what project they are on.
The support team isn't very helpful when it comes to technical difficulties. My employee ended up fixing the issue on his own because the support team wasn't really providing any solutions.
Hubstaff has been a big help in tracking my employee's time as well as what they are doing on any given workday. My employee is a graphic designer, so it is helpful to see their screen so I can jump in and correct something if they are headed in the wrong direction.
It has everything we needed to run our business.
The software is great but sometimes their site is a little slow and takes sometime to load screenshots.
Employee monitoring
client/projects/reporting integration.
the client software, it could be more modern.
Remote management of employees.
It's dead simple to start tracking time on the day to day basis (just one click!) and the idling counter helps me not accidentally stay clocked in during lunch. The UI for the desktop viewer makes it very easy to see how many hours I've worked this week, which I find very helpful.
I don't love having screenshots taken, or not being able to add my own items to the to do list (admin has to do that.). Sometimes the browser version can be strange in the way you have to click through to change tasks, like how you have to stop tracking entirely. They feel quite different in use.
Keeping track of my time. At a previous job we did it manually, and I would often forget to-- this way, I'm making sure I'm tracking all of my time.
Love that Hubstaff integrates so well With other tools and allows us to have scope for our business developing. Easy to use and has helped our team who all work remotely.
Took a bit of time to learn - slightly clunky interface.
We all work remotely and were struggling to track time but also allocate tasks which needed doing. We also had issues with ensuring staff were claiming for the work they had done at our HQ when they aren’t there.
It gives business owner flexibility and a tool to manage your team all in one place.
Cant' pay workers directly through their system. Everything is handled through third party companies. Also setting up everything does take a bit.
Ability to have workers anywhere in the world, keep time tracking on project and to become more effective as a company
We needed some outside help but didn't want to bring someone on full time. This service allowed us to find someone for one-off work with ease.
The reporting is a little basic. It could be expanded to include more features if we were to scale larger with it.
We've been able to outsource lower-end tasks that save us on paying higher cost contractors for basic work. As a small company, everyone wears multiple hats. This allows us to be more cost efficient and focus talent where it's best utilized.
I like the convenience of my remote employees being able to click when they are "on the clock". It is quick and easy for them. I also like the multiple screenshots each hour that automatically populate.
So far not much I dislike! It is easy to use and solves the problems I was having.
Employee accountability, employee metrics, and ease of keeping results front of mind.
I like that Hubstaff because it's really intuitive and easy-to-use.
I had a recurring problem of not being able to shut down the app. Although I haven't come across this issue lately. But it's been very annoying.
I'm using Hubstaff to be more organised.
How my freelance staff are now conscious that they cannot bill me for hours they aren't working
Payments aren't as automated as I'd like unless you get a premium plan.
Improved productivity and less hours billed by staff
Keeping tabs on what my employees are working on and how productive they are being.
Nothing so far. I guess the dashboard could be improved on.
Productivity. Keeping remote workers honest and transparent.
The screenshot feature is really helpful and increases the productivity. With admin control and various other options and reports, its quite good.
Don't dislike anything in particular. Every thing works fine so far.
As an offshore remote developer, it helps me stay productive wherever I work and whenever I work on my projects. It also helps the client to be sure they are getting their money's worth.
Managing projects and team members has been great. Initially it's been great to be able to see that team members are working on the required projects.
I wish there was a way to manage project timelines though. Currently we have to use another platform for this, but it would be great to see this integrated into hubstaff as well.
Tracking times for team members as well as projects that are currently active.
When employees choose a task from the project task list, the time is integrated into our PMS and doesn't have to be added manually. I also like seeing their screen shots.
The fact that a person has to be assigned only one role. If he's a user, he can't be a viewer or a manager.
We're able to track time for our employees even if they're working remotely and can see what they're working on.
Monitoring of work productivity and knowing how long you take in each work task
Not much to dislike because product is built to track time and productivity
Productivity
