I have been using this software more that 2 years with Australian Website Development company. Its very easy to use. never had bug with this system. i have used both Windows and Mac version both works great. i highly recommend it for anyone who looking for simple time tracking software with Advanced Features.
Actually i cant find any dislikes with this system. Honestly
We are using this for track the time of our all remote Software Developers
There's a great integration between Hubstaff and Wise. So we're able to take the core tracking and then automate out our payments to team members using Wise.
The internal navigation can be a bit confusing. I don't need to go into the admin dashboard very often, but I find myself clicking around a bit to find exactly what I need.
We were looking for a tool that allows us to track time for contractors/international team members and then automate those payments. Hubstaff does exactly that!
Hubstaff is our company tool in keeping our time management for every task in daily basis. For every output, we can record our start and end time. Timesheet is present for thorough record of the time keeping. On several times if the site had an error or the user has not been able to manage it smoothly resulting to insufficient time count, the admin can easily adjust the time track for the eight hours still be completed for the day.
Sometimes when the tab has been idle, the timer stops running on display so you'll have to reload it to see the actual recorded track. Not sure overall, but I hope maybe Hubstaff can have some updates for smoother running even just on a browser.
Hubstaff makes time tracking in easy and efficient way. Every project can have a neat record of how long it is done. You can start anew, pause, and stop the time whenever you needed. I like that Hubstaff is easy to manage for every user.
I like that tit sends updates to your email. It lets your time tracking easier. You may also view your timeline in days, hours or weeks. Unlike the other platform, this one is very much easier to navigate. I'd say this is very user-friendly.
There were once (just once in my alomst 2 years of using the platform) when it won't load and I can't sign-in. Aside from that, when chaging task, I can't simply input the next task. I still have to hit play which I sometimes forget, most specially when I'm on a rush.
None that I know as of the moment.
The thing that I like with Hubstaff is that you are able to track your performance level in terms of typing and mouse activity. You are also able to monitor the time schedule that you have by changing your time to-do.
Dislike would be that it screenshots here and there which can be somewhat annoying.
Able to monitor your progress and also timekeeping :D
I love the daily motivation of seeing how my team as well as myself are doing and who is on the leader board
I dislike the fact that sometimes due to time zones the time runs over to the next day as this is not a pure indication as to what you have achieved for the current day.
We have used the Hubstaff tool as an engaging platform for our team members to compete against each other. This way be as a company benefit with having more productive team members and our team loves the idea of being the winner in the internal/virtual race.
easy to navigate, filter and gat data per user, per date
not a dislike, rather would be nice to have generated reports like charts with parameters you set
Team involvement in work, easy to see who's performing and how much time was spent productively
The system is very intuitive and easy to use.
The activity average sometimes does not reflect the actual work done. However, I do admit is an effective tool to avoid "lazy" colleagues.
My schedule and payments mostly, also the vacations policies are super easy to use.
It has made time tracking for remote employees easy and provides a report daily. The best part is, it works even without the internet, and when the internet is back, the data is sent to the server.
It monitors keyboard and mouse interaction every 10 minutes, so in case I am attending video conference or watching a video, it counts as idle time.
It helps to ensure that every remote employee is doing an activity or, in case, activity percentage would be 0. This report, in turn, alarms the admin to take action if needed.
Since I use hubstaff for my employees doing gardening and pool mantaining, I know better which job is being done, where and when. So I can see where more work is being invested, and also have more transparency on the moment of paying the hours worked, as before I had to blindly trust the weekly time that had been done in properties I rarely visit.
I have not used all the tools they have, but will try some day perhaps

It is user friendly and allows me to track hours and productivity of my remote employee.
I have had no negative experiences using Hubstaff.
I have been able to track hours and productivity with my employee who works for me remotely.
The reporting functions of Hubstaff are very helpful in assessing time tracked, effectiveness and productivity. The apps are light and effortless to use.
Early on I had difficulty reporting specific dates in the reporting function, but since, there haven't been any issues.
I am able to determine the efficiency and effectiveness of each employee. This information allows for such an easy, passive management style.
This app helps me a lot in tracking what my VAs are doing and save time significantly when checking their working time.
It's a bit difficult at first on how to find a monthly time tracking report and how much the amount owing for each user.
I am using it mainly for activity and time tracking. Hubstaff got the main features that I need.
I like the screenshot feature it has! It has helped me organize my business better.
At first it was hard to navigate the website but after a while I got used to it.
I am making sure my employees are more productive and I am managing them better.
I started using Hubstaff for my remote team, and without it, I’d be spending hours managing staff, analyzing productivity without having any idea about how much time our team spends doing actual work. It’s a great tool.
They keep improving, but a better payments integration and an update to the activity levels metric would have been great.
Managing staff. Analyzing how much time we spend on each type of client and project. Streamlined payroll process.
It simply just work. Hubstaf always reminds me to turn it on.
Many features focus on other areas, we can not use.
We know which activities take up the most time.
I'm quite happy with being able to record my project time throughout the day, to not only make sure I'm making the most of my time, but also seeing how long projects take, which aren't always based on an hourly rate.
Adding Clients is hidden behind a paywall
Being able to log hourly times on particular projects, but also seeing how much work is being done in a day.
Creating individual projects and flexibility of adding team and members.
- Payment is only available in dollars and that restricts Hubstaff use as payment in regional region - Individual consolidated reporting was something I did not understand. For particular freelancer, I have to manually go and copy-paste time for days to consolidated total hours. - Lot of times developers forgets to switch on Hubstaff and manual entry was headache for Project Manager - Screenshot should not be timely but little random 5,7,6,8,9,5,8 something like this
- Time-sheet Management - Before this I had to keep manual entry of customers time log and work done - Workers Efficiency - Hubstaff has opened up micro monitoring of freelancer weather they are paid for doing work as I am able to track screens. -
The activity tracker is the best I like in the HubStaff. Being a business owner, it is very difficult to keep eyes on every day activity however with Hubstaff, I can track how active my team is and how many hours of work is being carried out every day.
Manager should not be able to see the client Only the owner should see the client.
Apart from tracking, the worked hours and activity level, Hubstaff helped me defining the benchmark time of various activity. So that we can better manage our workload.
It's really simple for employees to keep themselves motivated and really simple to monitor progress on different projects. The pricing is fair and scales as you use the product to monitor more employees.
I can't think of anything so far! I've been very pleased with it and have not had any pressing issues using the software or directing an employee to use it.
It's currently helping us keep track of how much to pay our remote hourly workers. It seems to keep them motivated as well, and the best part is that it all operates in the background and never gets in the way.
