This program has been so helpful to our company and our instructors. We are able to upload any documents needed and the instructors are able to access these where ever they are which can be all over the US. Our instructors sometimes run into issues where not enough materials were sent and its nice to just prompt them to go online to upload the document and print accordingly.
This program can present a messy face. It is difficult to try and organize everything in a good way.
We are able to create better communication with our instructors and better access to materials for our instructors as well.
It is a stable and widely used product. It has very solid security system and good user management. It is very easy to store documents, syncs easily and I also like the way that it is possible to share files with other people. You can also edit documents in box using Office apps, which I think is extremely helpful.
I am using the free version, so I feel like there are no cons. However, files larger than 250MB cannot be uploaded. So you have to split the files into small files before you upload. Besides, it is not easy to preview files in box, which makes it little inconvenient, but compared to the pros, this is something you can potentially ignore.
Box allows me to store all relevant research documents in one cloud-based platform, giving me quick access to all files from anywhere in the world. I can also access my supervisor's folder in the cloud when the file size is too big to attach to an email.
I love that you can instantly share all sorts of documents and files back and forth.
It doesn't allow you to add Box to your online bookmarks.
We file all of our EEO1 forms through our vendor this way.
I love that I can sign into box from anywhere and any device. I makes it easy to work and share documents with all my coworkers and take work on the go.
I do not like that I can not see when others in the document and editing the document. Versioning is an issue.
When utilizing big documents or databases this is the best way to share information! Then you can share only what you want and folders that you want others to see. This is the best for that type of collaboration.
Working for a large corporate company with lots of firewall/security measures, Box enables me to receive and send large design files to members of my team, as well as outside vendors.
Because of our security measures, there are sometimes issues with files appearing "quarantined." However, this usually does not prevent us from sending or receiving the files.
Our corporate email accounts do not allow the sending or receiving of large design files, so Box is much needed when working with outside vendors.
What I liked the most about Box is: 1. Is a very user-friendly software: is so easy to use and It's not complicated at all. Is very understandible. 2.File storage: Since I've been using it. I save a lot of memory in my computer, because now I save all my documents in here. 3. The accesibility: I really LOVE how I can access from anywhere to my files, all that I need is just log in in my account, is so practical. 4. The storage capability is amazing!
I didn't have aby real problem with the software, has been working very well for me. And I don't have any complaints.
Now I save a lot of memory in my computer, and is more easy for me to share files with my co-workers or show them, because all I have to do is logg in in my account. Box makes the work more easy. I use it a lot to see my PDF's, and share them as well with Box, is excellent.
I like the fact that I can upload a large file that is much too large to send in an email attachment and then give a link to someone that needs it.
I have not found anything that warrants a complaint as of yet.
File storage a sharing.
Box is incredible. It has been so helpful for all aspects of my job. We use it internally to keep track of files and different rounds of revisions. I also use Box for client-facing documents and it's a great platform to share and save all files that we need!
Sometimes, Box can feel like a black hole. The breadcrumbs are nice to get back to where I came from, but I dislike how it can go so deep and can get confusing.
We use box for everything from design files to legal documents. It's been awesome for a back up in case my computer crashes too.
easy access, no crazy password or logins once your account is linked with the team
there is no way to privatize your documents, maybe you can make them hidden, i haven't figured it out yet
haven't run into any major issues as of yet
Box is SO easy use. Simply drag and drop or upload files/folders. You can also provide specific permissions to each user.
Sometimes when uploading large folders (100+ files), some files receive an error message and can't upload. It isn't easy to "try again" so the files get lost...
Sharing documents that need to be referenced. It doesn't take up hard drive space! We are able to shred documents because we know that the documents we need are securely in the box.
I get tons of storage as opposed to other cloud platforms and it is all very encrypted with lots of data archived in case I delete something by accident!
At the moment I do not have any dislikes about this product. The only issue is that not as many people use this as compared to Dropbox or google drive
Cloud storage, I can send files and plans to others without having them come over to see it or having to squeeze the size of the file for an email.
I love the ease of creating box notes, easily organizing my documents, and having a linear format of organization. This is the best and easiest file sharing cloud platform.
I would like to be able to color coordinate my folders -- but that is such a minor dislike, it feels like it is not even an acceptable "dislike".
File collaborating, sharing, and personal file storage is the problem we solved with BOX. This made a great cloud storage platform to keep us away from paper and digitize our office more.
Easy to share the files, and upload them. the folder setup on desktop is also useful to maintain a convenient way of storing the files.
It is sometimes difficult to find a difference and a value prop between box and dropbox or other cloud services
Using it for self
I really appreciate the syncing feature. It makes it easy to use Box and it doesn't feel like an extra step. I also like that I can set permissions easily when i share a folder or document with others.
The site accepts some file names with characters that then get rejected by Windows upon sync.
We mainly use Box for collaboration with staff who are not on site. We also use it to share a data room with potential investors, which is super easy because we can simply share everything and take away access if needed, too.
I like the ability to share documents, but also to lock them for editing as needed. It is a very easy to use program that does not have much of a learning curve.
Boxsync can be a bit difficult if multiple people have a file open. The ability to simultaneously edit would be very useful.
We are able to solve documents across multiple locations and business units. It allows us to share and review documents as needed.
Box, as provided by our university, provides a HIPAA compliant method for storing data gathered for research purposes. In addition, sharing between multiple sites is fast and easy, as you can add collaborators and copy documents between folders. A great resource for teams looking to securely store data, while also allowing team members to access data from anywhere.
At times, the storage met capacity and emptying the trash was challenging.
Storing and sharing data within and between sites.
You can access Box anywhere and share files with anyone.
There are some quirks with Box Sync, but nothing that creates a bottle-neck
File sharing
I like box because it is easy to manage your business account and also easy to manage your file structure and security. Everything is switching to cloud-based these days so it's a must have if you plan on sharing files across a network of users.
The only thing I dislike about Box is the time it takes to sync with your library on your local device. The sync is a very valuable feature because it allows you to use your local device to interact with your library, but the time that it takes to sync sometimes can cause delays.
We are solving the problem of where we store files and how those files are made accessible to individuals.
What I likes the most about Box is: -How easy is to acces to our documents, anytime and anywhere. -The simplicity of the software makes the experience more easy and awesome, like, is a software that is very user-friendly, is not complicated at all. -IT'S VERY SAFE, this software offers you security, keeps your documents safe.
Since now, I didn't have any problems with this software. Happily, Box have been of great help for me, and I didn't regret to log in.
Well, now sharing all my documents, and keep them save is a very easy task for me. I have been in so many places and I just access to my account and see all my documents, and share them so easily. Apart from that now I save a lot of memory, and free my computer of heavy files that just makes my computer slow.
I love the ability for multiple users to be in an edit a document in a Box folder at the same time. I work with colleagues and freelancers across different offices and the ability for us to all look at the same thing and collaborate on it in real time is very helpful.
So far, I have not discovered anything in particular that I dislike about this product.
Box allows me to work efficiently with others even if we are not in the same office.
