I love how agencies can make tasks, communicate task information, and clock time all in one spot.
I cannot think of anything I dislike about this platform.
Problems solved: one place for task/project management and storing important filed. Benefits: great tool, easy to use and understand, communicating with team members.
Activecollab is a great easy to use service that clients love and follow through post discussions with.
You cannot move tasks, once you make a list that is the order you must stick with

My team swares off of ActiveCollab, it is the best way to keep organized and communicate with the client. It is important and required we keep all client correspondence in here because if ease of use and for any teammate to be able to pick up where the last left off if on leaves or vacations.
There are certain functionalities it should have but I believe they are working on it.
The software only gets better, it has helped address client correspindance and task timeline issues whereas we had in the past.
It is easy to use, easy for clients to understand, helps you keep organized, built in invoicing.

I am able to remember tasks easily thanks to the tagging feature. I get emailed every time someone assigns a task to me.
Sometimes I do not get emails unless I am specifically assigned to the project even though I am a member of the project.

Very robust tool with lots of features that are very easy to use, unlike many other PM tools we've previously used. Extremely simple, yet it has lots of great options that streamline our projects perfectly.
Not actually a dislike, but we've heard they're working on custom project templates. Can't wait to see how that's going to look.
Fantastic for controlling the workload on projects, I can see how the tasks are handled, who are my top performers, and where we are every step of the way.
It's relatively easy to use and has an intuitive interface so even some of our less tech savvy or software oriented team members can use it without an intense amount of training required.
Since it's update I've had some issues with assigning tasks to clients. Typically I assign tasks to both our employees and our clients because we require them to submit a lot of content when working with them. Lately I've had to just include them in subscriptions and it's been a little less convenient.
We have 2 locations (one being overseas) and it can become tricky to effectively manage projects between both teams given the time difference and other normal management struggles. The email alerts and commenting ability are helpful because even if I am not directly involved in a resolution, I can see the trail of conversation on each task specifically. Benefits I've realized mostly is just keeping each task as part of large projects as its own task makes it easy to "cross off" when completed and move on. You can see at a glance what is still pending yet you have an excellent way to dig up old archieved of finished tasks if needed as well.
I love that it makes it simple to chat and work together on projects!

Task Management, Project Management, Time Logging & Tracking against projects. I have realised that we save a lot of time by proper management.
It's quite intuitive. Easy to handle and delivers timely notifications to the team working on the different projects effectively. It has a clean presentation that makes it easier for everyone to track hours and the activities happening in different projects. It also facilitates sharing needed content for each project.
There's no really functional version on the go. Some of my teammates and myself were the kind to be going from meeting to meeting or event. In those cases, if we did not have a laptop with us, it was quite difficult to get back to our teams if they required assistance through ActiveCollab.
We would manage our client's digital marketing campaigns. We would all be contractors, so being able to input our hours was great importance, and being able to properly see them and understand them clearly, was even more dire for our management.
The interface is easy to use. The learning curve is not very steep. Spend only 1-2 hours to get started easily without any hassle. The separation between tasks and discussions is very helpful.
The platform is half CRM and half issue board, hence it is jack of all and master of none. The main focus should be either on CRM or issue board and the other thing can be presented as an addon.
We are using the active collab platform as our only CRM tool. We onboard our customers to the platform, and from there on, the support team takes over for both technical and business communication. Being easy to use and simple learning curve, the support team can be scaled without worrying about the deep orientation of the platform to the new hires.
It's a great tool for tracking our project management tasks as part of our weekly scrums. I can see what everyone is working on in my sprint, add notes, track time, and categorize it appropriately.
I wish Active Collab would learn the proper categories for each task. I find that I have to switch back and forth a lot since I work with a lot of different categories.
We are able to see what our team is working on at any given time and what is assigned to us. If multiple people are working on a project, we can see notes as well.
